CBSE Date Sheet 2027: Expected Dates, Download Steps and Exam Updates

Students preparing for the CBSE Board Examinations 2027 are waiting for the official date sheet. The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the Class 10 and Class 12 timetable soon on its official website, cbse.gov.in.

The date sheet will be available as a PDF. It will list the subject-wise exam dates, subject codes, subject names and exam timings. Students should use the official PDF to plan their revision instead of relying on social media posts or old timetables.

When will the CBSE date sheet 2027 be released?

CBSE has not confirmed the release date for the 2027 board exam schedule. Last year, the tentative timetable was issued on September 24, while the final date sheet was released on October 30. This timeline gives students a rough idea, but it does not confirm this year's release date.

Based on past schedules, the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams are expected to take place in February and March 2027. The board may also conduct exams during April, as the schedule for private candidates mentions February, March and April 2027. Students must wait for the final notice before making travel plans. The date sheet is not the place for guesswork.

What details will the date sheet include?

The official CBSE date sheet is expected to include:

  • Subject-wise examination dates
  • Subject codes
  • Subject names
  • Examination timings
  • Important instructions for students

Check the subject code with the subject name before noting down an exam date. This small step can prevent a big mistake, especially for students who have similar subject names or additional subjects.

  6. Download the PDF and save a copy on your phone or computer.
  7. Take a printout for quick reference.

Students can also check cbse.nic.in for updates. The CBSE academic website, cbseacademic.nic.in, is useful for sample papers and academic material.

CBSE Class 10 two-exam policy

Following the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020, CBSE has been conducting two board examinations for Class 10 students from 2026 onwards. Students and parents should read the official circulars to understand the rules, exam choices and result process for the 2027 session.

Private candidate registration dates

Registration for Class 10 and Class 12 private candidates started on October 8, 2026. The last date to submit the application is October 23, 2026, according to the official update. Private candidates should check the form details, subject choices and fee information before submitting the application.

LOC submission deadline for schools

CBSE has reminded schools to complete the List of Candidates, or LOC, for the 2026-27 academic session. The deadline for submission with the normal fee is October 21, 2026.

Schools have been asked to:

  • Include all eligible students.
  • Check candidate names and other details.
  • Select the correct subjects.
  • Review the relevant CBSE circulars.
  • Ensure that staff handling data entry follow the guidelines.
  • Pay the examination fee within the given schedule.

The reported LOC fee for five subjects is Rs 1,600. An additional subject costs Rs 350. Schools should confirm the latest fee notice before payment.

Practical exams and sample papers

CBSE has not released the Class 10 and Class 12 practical exam schedule yet. Practical exams are expected to be held in January 2027, but students should treat this as a likely timeline, not a confirmed date.

CBSE has released subject-wise sample papers for Class 10 and Class 12 on its academic portal. Students should use them to understand the paper pattern, question types and marking approach. For Class 10 Science, practice should cover Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Solving one paper with a timer can also show where revision is needed. The clock may feel like a strict invigilator, but it does not ask for extra sheets.

Passing marks and grading information

Students need at least 33 per cent marks in each subject and in the aggregate to qualify for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, as per the current update.

The grading bands listed by CBSE are:

  • A-1: Top one-eighth of passed candidates
  • A-2: Next one-eighth
  • B-1: Next one-eighth
  • B-2: Next one-eighth
  • C-1: Next one-eighth
  • C-2: Next one-eighth
  • D-1: Next one-eighth
  • D-2: Next one-eighth
  • E: Failed candidates

What students should do while waiting

Do not pause preparation until the date sheet arrives. Finish the syllabus, revise weak chapters and solve the CBSE sample papers. Keep a simple calendar with space for each subject. Once the official PDF is released, add the exam dates and plan revision gaps between papers.

For every update, check the official CBSE websites first. Confirm the date, time and subject code from the PDF before sharing the information with classmates or family members.
