Bulandshahr Model School Construction Reaches 70 Percent Completion
Construction of Bulandshahr’s Rs 24.38 crore model school is 70 percent complete, with classes from pre-primary to Class 12 planned by November 2026.

Construction of the Chief Minister Model Composite School in Bulandshahr has reached about 70 percent, bringing a new education facility closer to rural families. The school is being built in Jahanpur village of Arnia, in the Khurja tehsil area, at a cost of Rs 24.38 crore.
District Magistrate Kumar Harsh inspected the site on Monday evening at around 4 pm. He reviewed the progress of the work and checked the quality of construction. The school will offer classes from pre-primary to Class 12, giving children access to education through all school years at one campus.
School construction target set for November 2026
The Basic Education Department is developing the school through CNDS, Ghaziabad. During the inspection, officials from the construction agency told the District Magistrate that the project should be ready by November 2026.
The project includes the main school building, a Bal Vatika for younger children, staff and principal residences, a dormitory, a multipurpose hall and a boundary wall. This mix of buildings is meant to support classroom learning, early education, staff needs and school activities under one plan.
Power line delay affected work for three months
An 11 KV high-tension power line passed through the construction site. The line was shifted on July 15, 2026. Officials said the issue affected construction for about three months.
With the line now moved, the agency has increased the pace of work. Officials have set a target to complete the project within the planned deadline. Construction sites often depend on several services, and in this case, one power line managed to take up more attention than anyone wanted.
Main building reaches key construction stage
The roof work for the ground, first and second floors of the main building has been completed. Brickwork on the second floor is in progress. These stages mark a major step because the building can now move from its main structure to internal work and finishing.
The Bal Vatika building has also made strong progress. Its roof, brickwork and plaster work are complete. Finishing work is now underway. The Bal Vatika will support the pre-primary section and give young children a space suited to their early learning needs.
Roof construction for the staff and principal residences has been completed as well. Brickwork and plaster work at these buildings are in the final stage.
Dormitory and multipurpose hall structures are ready
The basic structures of the dormitory and multipurpose hall have been completed. These facilities can support student accommodation and group activities once the remaining work is finished.
About 80 percent of the school boundary wall has also been built. A complete boundary wall will help mark the school campus and support safety and site management.
DM orders material checks and DPR compliance
During the inspection, Kumar Harsh directed the agency to use construction materials as listed in the Detailed Project Report, or DPR. He also ordered random checks of the materials used at the site.
Random testing can help officials find problems before they become part of the finished building. The District Magistrate stressed that progress must not come at the cost of quality. He warned that strict action would follow if officials or agencies showed carelessness during construction.
The inspection included Khurja Sub-Divisional Magistrate Satyendra Singh, representatives of the construction agency and officers from the departments linked to the project.
What the school may mean for local children
The new campus is planned as a modern school for children in the surrounding rural area. Students will be able to study from the pre-primary level through Class 12 without changing schools at each stage.
The project also places focus on more than classrooms. The Bal Vatika, dormitory, multipurpose hall, staff housing and boundary wall form part of a wider school campus. The next major steps include finishing the buildings, completing the remaining brickwork and plaster, and checking the quality of all materials before the school opens.
