BSEB Class 10th and 12th Compartment Results 2026: How to Check Your Scores Online

The wait is over for thousands of students across Bihar. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) released the Class 10th matric and Class 12th intermediate compartment exam results on May 23, 2026. Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari announced the results at 4 pm from the BSEB headquarters auditorium on Sinha Library Road in Patna.

If you appeared for the compartment exams, here's everything you need to know about checking your results and what comes next.

Where to Check Your Results

The results are now live on the official BSEB websites. Students appearing for Class 12th intermediate exams can visit interbiharboard.com, while Class 10th matric students need to head to compartment.biharboardonline.org.

Keep your admit card handy. You will need your roll code and roll number to access your results. The marksheets display subject-wise marks, qualifying status, and other examination details. Having these details ready will save you from last-minute hassle.

What Are Compartment Exams?

Compartment exams give students a second chance. These exams are for students who failed in one or more subjects during the annual board examinations. They also help students who want to improve their scores in specific subjects.

This year, BSEB conducted the Class 12th compartment exams from May 2 to May 11, 2026, in two shifts. The Class 10th compartment exams also took place in May for eligible students.

Before announcing the results, the Board released provisional answer keys for the Class 12th exams. Students had the chance to raise objections if they found any errors. This process helps ensure fair evaluation.

How Did Students Perform This Year?

The overall numbers from the main board exams paint an encouraging picture. In the Class 10th matric exam, 81.79% of students passed. Out of 15,10,928 students who appeared (including 7,84,871 girls and 7,26,057 boys), 12,35,743 cleared the exam.

The Class 12th results were even better. The overall pass percentage stood at 85.19%. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 86.23% compared to 84.09% among boys. A total of 26 students secured the top 5 ranks, and 20 of them were girls.

With the compartment results now out, these pass percentages are expected to improve further. More students will get the chance to complete their academic year successfully.

What to Do After Checking Your Results

Once you access your marksheet online, download it and take multiple printouts. Keep these copies safe. You will need them for admission processes, scholarship applications, and future reference.

If you passed the compartment exam, congratulations! You can now plan your next academic steps. For Class 10th students, this means choosing your stream for Class 11th. For Class 12th students, college admissions and entrance exams await.

If the results are not what you hoped for, don't lose heart. You still have options. Talk to your teachers and parents about the best way forward. Many students have faced setbacks and gone on to achieve great things.

Quick Tips for Result Day

The official websites might run slow on result day because thousands of students check their scores at the same time. Be patient and keep trying if the page doesn't load immediately.

Avoid third-party websites that claim to show results. Stick to the official BSEB portals. These are the only authentic sources for your marksheets.

If you notice any error in your marksheet, such as wrong marks or incorrect personal details, contact the Board immediately. They have processes in place to fix genuine errors.

The Road Ahead

Board exams are important, but they don't define your entire future. Whether you passed or need to reappear, remember that learning is a continuous journey. Many successful people faced challenges during their school years.

The compartment system exists because the education system understands that students learn at different paces. Some subjects might be harder for you than others, and that's perfectly normal.

Focus on understanding concepts rather than just memorizing facts. This approach will help you not just in exams but in real life too. Ask questions when you don't understand something. Seek help from teachers, friends, or family members.

Your performance in these exams is one step in your educational journey. Stay focused, work hard, and keep moving forward. The compartment results give many students a fresh start, and that's exactly what you should treat it as.

Good luck to all students checking their results today. Whatever the outcome, remember that effort and persistence matter more than any single exam result.
