Students preparing for the Bihar Board Matric and Intermediate annual exams have more time to check and correct their dummy registration details. The Bihar School Examination Board has extended the last date for online corrections to September 16.
The notice applies to students registered for the Matric and Intermediate examinations. Students, parents and school heads must check the dummy registration card with care. A small mistake in a name or date of birth can create problems when the final exam form or admit card is issued.
What has changed in the deadline?
The earlier last date for dummy registration corrections was August 22. The correction window is now available from August 28 to September 16. During this period, the heads of the concerned Intermediate schools can make the required changes through the board portal.
Students must also upload a signed declaration form on the prescribed portal. The form should carry the signature of the student, parent or guardian, and school head, as required for the student category. The dummy registration card and the declaration form must be uploaded within the given time.
Why students should check the dummy card
The dummy registration card contains key details used in the exam application. These include:
- Student's name
- Date of birth
- Names of the father and mother
- Gender
- Category and subject details
- School and registration information
Students should compare every detail with their original registration record and school documents. Do not rely on memory. Even one missing letter can turn a simple form into a long visit to the school office.
Who can use the correction window?
Students whose online registration and fee payment have already been completed can also use this opportunity. This includes students whose pre-filled declaration form could not be uploaded earlier. They can upload the form by September 16.
The board has also allowed eligible students to complete the process if their registration is already on record. However, the school must check the documents and complete the online steps before the deadline.
Application format for different student categories
Regular and independent category students will see the application in two sections. In Section A, details from serial number 1 to 17 will already be filled in. Students need to check these details and report any error.
Section B covers serial number 18 to 35. Students must enter the required information in this part. They should keep their documents nearby while filling in the form.
Students from the previous, compartmental, improvement and qualifying categories will receive one application form. They must upload the original dummy registration card along with the declaration form signed by the student, parent or guardian, and school head.
What happens if the declaration form is not uploaded?
The board has stated that the online exam form will be accepted only for students whose signed declaration form and dummy registration card are uploaded by September 16. If the required document is not uploaded, the exam application may not be accepted.
Students may also face a serious issue later because the admit card may not be issued. This makes the deadline important for both students and school authorities. A completed registration alone may not be enough if the required declaration remains missing from the portal.
Steps students should follow
- Collect the dummy registration card from the school or download it through the approved process.
- Check the name, date of birth, parent details, subjects and category.
- Tell the school head about any error before September 16.
- Complete the correct section of the online application.
- Sign the declaration form with the parent or guardian and school head.
- Upload the declaration form and original dummy registration card on the prescribed portal.
- Ask the school to confirm that the upload is complete.
- Keep a copy or screenshot of the submitted documents for future use.
School principals have been asked to finish all required work within the extended time. Students from Munger and other districts should contact their school office for help with document checks, corrections and uploads. They should also rely on the latest notice from the Bihar School Examination Board for portal instructions and any further change in dates.
