Almora CDS NDA Exam Restrictions: 200-Metre Zone Rules for September 13
Almora has imposed Section 163 restrictions around CDS and NDA exam centres, covering entry, weapons, gatherings, loudspeakers and legal penalties.
Almora has put special restrictions in place for the CDS and NDA examinations scheduled for September 13. The rules aim to keep the area around exam centres peaceful and safe during the test.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sanjay Kumar issued the order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita. The restrictions will apply from 9 am to 6 pm on the exam day.
200-metre area around exam centres under restriction
People who are not linked to the examination will not be allowed to enter within 200 metres of the exam centres. This rule covers the area around each centre and is meant to prevent crowding, noise and any activity that could disturb candidates.
The restriction does not apply to:
- Registered candidates appearing for the examination
- Staff assigned to examination duty
- Police personnel and other security staff on duty
Candidates should carry only the items allowed by the examination authorities. A crowded exam gate is not the best place for last-minute treasure hunts, so it is wise to check all instructions before leaving home.
Weapons and other items are not allowed
The order bans the carrying of weapons within the 200-metre zone. This includes sharp weapons, sticks, batons and similar items.
People are also not allowed to collect or store bricks, stones, rubble or other objects near the examination centres. These restrictions are intended to reduce the risk of disorder and keep the entry and exit points clear.
No large gatherings near the centres
Groups of five or more people cannot gather if the gathering is meant to affect the examination process. This rule can help prevent protests, disturbances or other activity near the centres during the test.
Parents and companions should avoid waiting close to the examination gate. If a candidate needs support, it is better to drop them at a suitable point outside the restricted area and leave the spot clear for other candidates.
Loudspeakers and speeches require permission
The use of loudspeakers without permission is also prohibited within the restricted area. Giving speeches without approval will not be allowed during the examination period.
Residents, shopkeepers and visitors near the centres should keep noise low. Music, public announcements and loud conversations can make it hard for candidates to focus, especially during a competitive examination.
What candidates should keep in mind
- Reach the examination centre well before the reporting time given in the admit card.
- Carry the admit card and required identity documents.
- Follow the instructions issued by the Union Public Service Commission.
- Do not carry weapons, sharp objects, sticks or any prohibited item.
- Do not wait in a group near the centre after entry.
- Follow directions from police and examination staff.
Students should also plan their route in advance. Temporary restrictions may affect movement around the centres, and arriving late can create avoidable stress. A calm start is worth more than one extra hour of rushed revision.
Legal action for breaking the order
Anyone who violates the restrictions may face legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The order will remain in force from 9 am to 6 pm on September 13.
The restrictions cover entry, weapons, stored materials, group gatherings, loudspeakers and speeches around the examination centres. Candidates, examination staff and police personnel on duty remain exempt from the entry restriction within the 200-metre area.
