The AILET 2027 application form is scheduled to open on 7 August 2026. Candidates who want to study law at National Law University Delhi can apply online through the official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
The last date to submit the form has not been announced yet. Students should check the NLU Delhi portal for the final deadline and any changes in the admission notice. Waiting for the last day can turn a simple form into a small adventure, so it is better to apply early.

AILET 2027 eligibility criteria
BA LLB (Hons.)
- Students must have passed Class 12 or an equal examination from a recognised board.
- General category candidates need at least 45% marks.
- SC and ST candidates need at least 40% marks. Other category rules should be checked in the official notice.
- Students appearing for their Class 12 exams may also apply, subject to the admission rules.
LLM
- Candidates must hold a three-year or five-year LLB degree from a recognised university.
- General category candidates need at least 50% marks.
- SC and ST candidates need at least 45% marks.
- Final-year LLB students may apply if they meet the conditions set by NLU Delhi.
The notification states that there is no upper age limit for the listed programmes. Candidates should also check the rules for reservation, certificates and final-year students before submitting the form.

The fee can be paid through the online payment gateway using a debit card, credit card or net banking. An offline cash deposit option may also be available. In that case, candidates need to generate a challan and pay within the time given by the portal. The paid status can take up to 72 hours to appear.
Documents needed for AILET registration
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets or certificates
- Graduation and LLB documents for LLM applicants
- Recent passport-size colour photograph
- Scanned signature in black or blue ink
- Category, PwD or other supporting certificates, if applicable
- Valid email address and mobile number
The photograph and signature should follow the size, format and background rules shown on the application portal. The available instructions mention a file size of less than 1 MB and formats such as JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG. Check the portal before uploading because file rules can change.
How to fill the AILET 2027 application form
- Visit nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.
- Select the AILET 2027 registration link and create an account with a working email address and mobile number.
- Use the login details to enter the candidate portal.
- Select the programme, such as BA LLB (Hons.) or LLM.
- Enter personal, contact and academic details exactly as shown on official documents.
- Upload the photograph, signature and certificates in the required format.
- Choose up to three preferred exam cities from the options shown.
- Pay the application fee and check that the status shows as paid.
- Review every field, submit the form and download the confirmation page.
Checks to make before final submission
Check your name, date of birth, category, marks, email address and mobile number. A small spelling error can cause trouble during document verification. Make sure the uploaded photo shows your face clearly and that the signature is readable.
After submission, save the application number, password and payment receipt. Download at least two copies of the completed form. Keep one digital copy and one printed copy with your admission documents.
NLU Delhi may provide a correction window after registration. The dates and editable fields will be announced through the official portal. Do not depend on the correction window for major changes. It is best to treat the first submission as the final one.
What happens after registration?
After the application window closes, NLU Delhi is expected to release the admit card on the announced date. Candidates must check the exam centre, reporting time and instructions on the admit card. The exam is scheduled for 13 December 2026, but applicants should follow any later update issued by the university.
