AIIMS BSc Nursing Application 2026: Registration Process, Exam Dates, and Fee Details

Time is running out. If you want to pursue nursing at AIIMS, today is your last chance to apply. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, closes applications for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic), and B.Sc. Allied & Health care courses on April 24, 2026.

The registration process started in March, and thousands of students have already submitted their applications at aiimsexams.ac.in. If you haven't applied yet, you need to act fast.

Important Exam Dates You Should Know

Mark these dates on your calendar. The B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Examination will take place on June 27, 2026. This is the main exam that most students aim for.

For students interested in other courses, the B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) examination is scheduled for May 30, 2026. The B.Sc. Allied & Health Care Courses examination will be held on July 4, 2026.

Your performance in these entrance examinations will determine everything. AIIMS fills all seats strictly on merit based on your exam scores. No other criteria matters.

What the B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing Exam Looks Like

The exam is straightforward but requires good preparation. You get two hours to complete one paper with four sections. The paper contains 100 objective type questions (multiple choice questions).

Here's how the marks are divided:

  • Physics: 30 marks
  • Chemistry: 30 marks
  • Biology: 30 marks
  • General Knowledge: 10 marks

You can choose to write the exam in English or Hindi. Pick the language you feel most comfortable with.

The B.Sc. Allied & Health Care Courses exam is shorter. You get 1½ hours to complete it. This exam also has four parts with 30 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. You can choose to attempt either the Biology section or the Mathematics section, not both.

Understanding the Marking Scheme

This part is crucial. Many students lose marks because they don't understand how the marking works.

Each correct answer gives you 1 mark. Each wrong answer takes away 1/3 mark. If you skip a question or mark it for review without saving an answer, you get zero marks (not negative marks).

If you mark more than one response for a single question, you get negative marks. Questions you don't answer get zero marks.

The lesson here is simple. Don't guess wildly. If you're completely unsure about an answer, it's better to skip the question than to risk losing marks.

How to Register at aiimsexams.ac.in

The registration process is simple if you follow these steps carefully:

First, visit the official website at https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/. Navigate to the Academic courses section and look for Undergraduate Programs.

You'll find the B.Sc. (Hons.) and B.Sc. (Post Basic) links on the homepage. Click on either the Create Account option if you're a new user or the Login to apply option if you already have an account.

Fill up the application form with accurate information. This is important. AIIMS has made it clear that providing false information can get you banned from future examinations. They verify all selected candidates against previous data.

Upload all necessary documents in the correct format. Check the file size requirements before uploading. Submit the form and download a copy for your records.

A Word of Caution

AIIMS has issued a strong warning in their prospectus. If you provide false information just to practice or for any other reason, you will be barred from all future AIIMS examinations. This is serious.

Some students think they can fill out applications with incorrect details just to see how the process works. Don't do this. The consequences are permanent.

What Happens After Registration

Once you submit your application, keep checking your email and the AIIMS website regularly. The institute will release admit cards before the examination date.

Download your admit card as soon as it becomes available. Check all the details printed on it. If you spot any errors, contact AIIMS immediately.

On exam day, carry your admit card and a valid photo ID. Reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

What Makes This Opportunity Special

AIIMS is India's premier medical institution. Getting admission to any AIIMS nursing programme opens doors to excellent career opportunities. The education quality is top notch, the faculty is experienced, and the clinical exposure is unmatched.

The fees are reasonable compared to private institutions. The facilities are modern. Most importantly, an AIIMS degree carries weight in the job market.

Final Thoughts

If nursing is your calling and AIIMS is your dream, don't let this deadline slip away. Complete your application today. Double check all the information you enter. Upload clear, correct documents.

Remember, thousands of students compete for limited seats. Your entrance exam performance will decide your future. Start preparing now if you haven't already. Focus on all four subjects equally. Practice previous years' question papers to understand the exam pattern.

Good preparation combined with a calm, focused approach on exam day will give you the best chance of success. The opportunity is here. Make the most of it.
