How to Apply for CTET 2026 – Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Visit the official CTET website

  3. Click on “Apply Online / CTET FEB 2026”
  4. Complete the New Registration and note down the generated application number
  5. Fill in the application form including personal details, education qualifications & exam centre preferences
  6. Upload required documents — Passport photo, signature & ID proof
  7. Pay the application fee online (Debit/Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI)
  8. Submit the form & download the confirmation page
Important: Ensure that both the application form and fee payment are completed before 18 December 2025, 11:59 PM.

CTET 2026 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted in two papers:
  • Paper I — For teaching Classes 1 to 5
  • Paper II — For teaching Classes 6 to 8
  • Mode of exam: Offline (OMR-based)
  • Question type: MCQs
  • No negative marking
  • Exam will be conducted in two shifts — Morning & Afternoon

Eligibility Criteria

For Paper I

  • 12th Pass + D.El.Ed or equivalent qualification

For Paper II

  • Graduation + B.Ed or equivalent qualification

  • No upper age limit for appearing in CTET
